My textile group met today, and several of the pieces for SCROLLS arrived, complete or nearly so. The exhibit, in response to Lowell's display of Jack Kerouac's original
On The Road scroll, includes work from a variety of artists at
Western Avenue Studios and got mention in the
Boston Globe last week.
Judging from the pieces already delivered, the show will be worth a visit. Put it on your to-do list, if you plan to come to
the Lowell Quilt Festival.

this piece is quite stunning. I love the movement and the colors, but especially like the mix of a crazy quilt and the hand. thanks so much for sharing your work.
Thank you. It's a detail from my much larger piece for the Scrolls exhibit. The quilt fragment is from the 1830's, the hand is a print from my sketchbook. The larger work has more images, tho' the hand repeats. I've been thinking a lot about what mark we leave for having lived.
